In 2000, The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC), a charitable land trust, saved the garden from becoming a housing development. The garden embraces rocky landscapes unique to Victoria, and features Garry oak trees, flowing carpets of naturalized bulbs, stunning Japanese maples and 100+ year old rhododendrons. Entry is by donation ($10/person suggested).
