Als bemerkenswertes Beispiel des Klassizismus wird es einem Schüler Schinkels zugeschrieben. Nach der Zerstörung der Villa Osthoff während des zweiten Weltkrieges sollte auch das sogenannte „ Kleine Teehaus“ 1953 abgerissen werden.
