Η ταβέρνα «ο Πλάτανος» του Τάκη Καρυανού βρίσκεται στην ομώνυμη μικρή πλατεία στην Πλάκα με το μεγάλο πλάτανο. Ιδρύθηκε το 1933 από τον πατέρα Καρυανό και έχει συνδέσει την ιστορία της με το καλλιτεχνικό ατελιέ που στήθηκε εκεί στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1920. Από τότε πέρασε κοντά ένας αιώνας και η κουζίνα του Πλάτανου, σερβίρει σταθερά την κλασική ελληνική κουζίνα, λαδερά, πολλά μαγειρευτά.
