Fondato nel 1545, l’Orto botanico dell’Università di Padova è il più antico del mondo ad aver conservato l’ubicazione e la struttura architettonica originali. Dal 1997 è Patrimonio Mondiale UNESCO. Nella parte antica, caratterizzata da un’affascinante struttura circolare ornata da mura perimetrali, si trovano piante medicinali, insettivore, velenose, succulente, acquatiche e ornamentali, oltre che piante storiche come la “Palma di Goethe” (1585).
