La Contrada–Teatro Stabile di Trieste è l’essenza stessa del teatro. La storia di questa compagnia nasce negli anni ’70 quando, ancora priva di una propria casa, inizia a svolgere la propria attività in maniera itinerante. Nel 1982, il gruppo sceglie come propria base il Teatro Cristallo (oggi Orazio Bobbio).
