Umaimon's ‘No ramen, no life’ motto has started a long time ago in 2007 with Mr. Saeki and Mr. Okada who wanted to bring out new tasty flavors into Europe. A simple ramen shop in Düsseldorf, spread out to the rest of Germany. Which has led to much more shops all over Europe, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic and Austria! Our goal is to spread our love for ramen with new ramen lovers all over the world. Who knows where the next Umaimon location will be?

De Blauwe Hollander heeft op 1 april 1979 zijn de deuren geopend, de naam “Blauwe” is een verwijzing naar de blauwe uniformen van de marinemensen die vroeger naar Indonesië en Suriname werden gestuurd om daar te blijven als permanente vertegenwoordigers van Holland. De “Hollandse Pot” werd in de voormalige koloniën meer gewaardeerd omdat het in de tropen geen alledaagse kost was en omdat het, het verlangen naar Holland enigszins temperde.
