Western Springs Lakeside Park (Park)
99 Motions RoadWestern Springs Lakeside Park is most popular around 5 PM on Saturdays. Visitors usually stay up to 1.5 hours here. It's most quiet on Tuesdays.
This is a large popular central park with a lake in the middle. Enjoy a walk around the park or lake or find a spot for a picnic. There are plenty of opportunities to view birds up close, including ducks, geese and pūkeko. Please enjoy the bird life, but do not feed them. Feeding them unsuitable food, like bread, can cause poor nutrition and spread disease. It artificially increases the size of the population and leads to overcrowding, and unnatural and aggressive behaviour.
