This is a large popular central park with a lake in the middle. Enjoy a walk around the park or lake or find a spot for a picnic. There are plenty of opportunities to view birds up close, including ducks, geese and pūkeko. Please enjoy the bird life, but do not feed them. Feeding them unsuitable food, like bread, can cause poor nutrition and spread disease. It artificially increases the size of the population and leads to overcrowding, and unnatural and aggressive behaviour.

The domain is best known for its location on the edge of Okahu Bay, but is also home to the Teachers Eastern Rugby Club and the Okahu Bay Bowling Club. It covers the area between Tāmaki Drive and Reihana Street, and can also be accessed from Ngake Street via a walkway. The sports fields are located in the middle part of the park, between the playground and the bowling club grounds.

The crater-shaped domain was formed by an eruption 20,000 to 30,000 years ago. The domain is perfect for a variety of sports activities for all ages, and can host large numbers of visitors.
