The Linnaeus Garden – a haven in Uppsala The Linnaeus Garden was the first botanical garden in Sweden founded in 1655 by Olof Rudbeck the elder. It is laid out in the French Style and restored following Linnaeus' and Carl Hårleman's design from 1745. Today approximately 1300 species are grown here. All known to have been cultivated by Linnaeus and arranged according to his own system. The Linnaeus Garden is an oasis hidden behind a planked fence on Svartbäcksgatan in central Uppsala.

Biotopia, eller Biologiska museet som vi hette tidigare, är över 100 år gammalt! Många som bott i Uppsala länge kommer ihåg att dom besökte museet som barn. Och det roliga är att dom fortfarande kan känna igen sig. När museet öppnade 1910 var det unikt i sitt slag. Att visa djur i dioramor, i sin rätta miljö, istället för uppradade på hyllor var nytt. Dessa dioramor finns fortfarande kvar.
