Freedom Park lies along the Niagara River ar the foot of Ferry Street in Buffalo. It was the last stop on the Underground Railroad for people escaping slavery and looking for a life of freedom across the river in Canada. The park pays homage to that history as well as serves as a place for family recreation, fishing, hiking and biking. It was known as Broderick Park until a name change in late 2023
