Luigi and Adreanna Gerardi emigrated here from Naples in 1956. In 1960 they opened a pizzeria in Somerville, and one night in 1977 Luigi stumbled upon La Rosa’s Pizzeria. Luigi, along with his nephew, Carmen Troia, purchased the restaurant in January of 1978. In 1993, Luigi’s daughter, Filomena Inghilterra, began managing the family eatery. In November of 1998, Luigi’s other daughter, Olympia Keane, came on board and has been managing La Rosa’s ever since.
