The dam located adjacent to the lock maintains an approximate 5' of water level difference between the lakes. A permit is required to use the lock. They are available online or at a kiosk located on the Yahara River dock. Credit/debit cards only. No cash sales. Public restrooms are only available during the regular opening hours of the lock.
