When it was built in 1855, the house was the center of the lively social life of the thriving cotton port of Mobile, Alabama. Today, the home is one of the most photographed buildings in Mobile and an architectural icon of the city. Guided tours are offered Tuesday - Friday, 10AM to 4PM (last tour at 3PM), on-the-hour.
