Our journey started when two Utahn food-loving entrepreneurs and a life long restaurateur came together to bring some of our favorite Japanese flavors, quality ingredients, fresh fish and love of A5 Wagyu to Utah. Since then our team has grown to include a team of expert Chefs from Indonesia, Japan, Guatemala, the US and Brazil. We’ve brought flavors we love and have fused them with premium Japanese cuisine where possible while honoring the authentic dishes so many have come to love from Japan.

Yoshi’s opened its doors in 2001 and has been Utah’s local teriyaki joint ever since. Owner Eddee Johansen has a serious love for creating some of the most delicious food around. Our rice bowls take inspiration from Mexico, Japan, India, and many other parts of the world. Our food trucks are known for the delicious tempura that we serve all over the Utah valley. Describing what we do isn’t hard, but it definitely doesn’t do it justice.

Greek Souvlaki was founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos. They were the first to bring yeeros (gyros) to Utah. It was a family visit back to Greece that sparked the idea of a restaurant. Lee's brother, Tasos Petropoulos, owned a small restaurant serving yeeros in Pireaus and Lee noticed that the tourists loved them. At first, Greek Souvlaki only sold three items: yeeros (gyro), souvlaki, and beefteki.
