Intended to be a "more sustainable" space it is operated and maintained by North Brooklyn Parks Alliance. Built in 2019 by Toronto architecture firm PUBLIC WORK, and open in late 2020, the design initiative was made possible by New York State's Greenpoint Community Environmental Benefits Fund (GCEF).
