The Cable Car Museum was established in 1974. It is operated by the Friends of the Cable Car Museum as a nonprofit educational facility. Located in the historic Washington/Mason cable car barn and powerhouse, the museum deck overlooks the huge engines and winding wheels that pull the cables. Downstairs is a viewing area of the large sheaves and cable line entering the building through the channel under the street.

Umbrella Alley is a quick 3 1/2 minutes of fun, smiles and laughter. A quick stop for anyone visiting San Francisco. Located in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf, this vibrant alleyway is known for its stunning street art. The project was started in 2019 and currently features 10 completed murals. Visitors are encouraged to pay a suggested entry of $4.00 (was $5) for adults and $2.00 (was $3) for ages 12-17 to help fund more art and murals.
