Perfect for canoe and kayak launching, allows leashed pets, has a fishing pier, picnic area, water fountain, playground, bathrooms, electric car charger, and walking trails. Perfect location to watch the sunset. Ken Thompson In recognition of this dedicated service to the City of Sarasota as City Manager from February 1, 1950, to February 1, 1988.

North Lido Beach Park is most popular around 10 AM on Tuesdays. It's most quiet on Sundays.

Trails, hiking, beach access, swimming, no lifeguards on duty, is perfect for canoe and kayak launching. Pets, except trained service animals, are prohibited in the park and on the public beaches. North Lido Beach Park, acquired as an undeveloped area to remain in its natural state, was purchased through a bond referendum by the City of Sarasota in 1977. The park contains an upland area with 49 acres of Australian pine woods, grassy savannahs and walking trails, plus 22.

Paul N. Thorpe Jr. Park is most popular around 4 PM on Saturdays. It's most quiet on Tuesdays.

Formally known as Pineapple Park. This park was recently dedicated and named in honor of “Mr. Downtown”, Paul Thorpe, Jr. in 2017. Home to Smithsonian-registered Mermaid Fountain. Provides bench seating. In recognition of the significant contribution to the beauty of the Sarasota area, Paul Thorpe, Jr. Park was awarded the 2018 Civic Beautification Award, for Outstanding Landscaping, by the Sarasota Garden Club in February 2019.
