Venue description

The Queenstown Story, an interactive, interesting and emotive look at the story of Irish Emigration from this port. Over 3 million people left from here, mainly to North America but also to the British Overseas colonies such as the West Indies and Australia. Our exhibition has many great stories of individual emigrants and we also cover the story of both Titanic and Lusitania and their links with this town. Walk in the footsteps of our emigrant ancestors in this beautifully restored Victorian railway station. Fully accessible and also with a café and gift shops. Celebrating 25 years in 2018. Audio guides available in French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Chinese and Hebrew. Last entry to Exhibition one hour before closing.
