Venue description

Marathon Village, originally built for the Nashville Cotton Mills in 1881, later housed the first car manufacturer in the South: Marathon Motor Works. Though production ceased in 1914, the building remained vacant for decades. Entrepreneur Barry Walker recognized the historical significance and potential of the site, leading to its revitalization into the vibrant community it is today. Marathon Village now hosts a number of artists, businesses, shops, as well as free museum and antique car show room.
