Venue description

Located at the heart of Limerick City, our collections are housed in the 18th century Georgian Palladian Custom House. Situated perfectly at the crossroads of the medieval town and the superb Georgian city on the banks of the river Shannon. The permanent collection, is a serious cabinet of curiosities with artefacts from all over the world. It is the legacy of the Hunt family, and features Irish archaeology, medieval artifacts, Greek and Roman antiquities, fine art, fashion, ceramics, and viking jewelry on three floors of the museum. The fine Captain’s room houses some of our best paintings with works from . Picasso, Gauguin, Renoir, Henry Moore, Roderic O’Connor, Jack B. Yeats and Paul Henry.
