Venue description

Tom Battista came up with the idea for Idle Park and spearheaded the project. Many people thought he was crazy when they heard about how he wanted to take a strip of land on an interstate and turn it into a park where people could relax. "Everybody hates traffic. When you’re down in those cars and it slows down to a crawl at rush hour, you’re going ‘oh my god this sucks, I need to get home.’ But, if you’re up here on this hill watching them, it’s kind of calming." And we agree. The park is surprisingly peaceful and well worth the trip.
