Venue description

The Venice Pride Flag Lifeguard Tower is a permanent public art installation and tourist attraction created by Venice Pride, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through acceptance of diversity. First unveiled as a temporary installation for LGBT Pride Month in June 2017, the Rainbow flag-inspired tower quickly became a must-see (and photograph) tourist attraction. Later that year the L.A. County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to maintain the tower as a permanent monument to acceptance and the LGBT community.
