Venue description

The Royal Peacock is Atlanta's original and #1 Reggae nightclub. Located in Atlanta's Sweet Auburn historic district. Known for having live DJs spinning music that'll keep you on the dance floor. This is not the place to go if you just want to stand against the wall. The legendary Royal Peacock Lounge is Atlanta's oldest nightclub and the city's original reggae nightclub, playing reggae, afro beats, soca, ampiano, calypso, hip-hop, and R&B. Featured in Outkast's hit music video "Rosa Parks," the Royal Peacock Lounge was originally built around 1920 and opened in 1937 as the Top Hat Club. In the late 1940s, former circus performer Carrie Cunningham bought the club and renamed it the Royal Peacock.
