In the beginning, the house was built for Japanese living in Taiwan. After WWII, the new government allocated the house to government officials as a dormitory. It became the residence of the Department of Indigenous Affairs’ Section Manager Guo-ZhiWangand the Department of Education's officer Yun-QuanLiao.Four generations of the two families lived here for almost 60 years.
