After successful completion of Army Museum Rawalpindi on 11 Dec 2014, General Raheel Shareef (COAS) ordered to make another Army Museum in Lahore while replicating Army Museum Rawalpindi in an improved manner. For smart work, direction was given to undertake the project with the help of the team involved in making Army Museum Rawalpindi. The aim of Museum was to chronicle the history of Pakistan Army in the form of displays to project the sacrifices of our heroes and forefathers since 1947. It also aimed to inspire the youth to become useful citizens of Pakistan. Construction work started in 2014 and Army Museum Lahore was inaugurated in August 2017. It was finally opened for public on 23 September 2017. Since September 2017.
