Venue description

Originally built as a domestic residence, The Lost Boy, renamed after one of local author J M Barrie’s most famous characters, dates to 1717 and remains a delightful example of an 18th century Georgian residential property. Sympathetically restored, the façade of this fine building still exhibits some largely unaltered signature features from the time of its construction. The inside of the bar has benefited from the installation of new Georgian-style panelling in place of the modern pine-boarded walls and the reinstatement of two original Georgian fireplaces. The central staircase and stairwell, which links the ground and first floors, has been wonderfully renovated in period style and provides access to the entire Lost Boy offering.
