Venue description

The Golden Dragon Museum is a living history of the Chinese people in Bendigo from the gold rush of the 1850s to the present day. The Dai Gum San Precinct, located where Bendigo's Chinatown used to stand, features the museum, the Yi Yuan Gardens and the Guan Yin Temple. Visitors to the museum can see Bendigo's famous processional dragons that come out at Easter and form a wonderful, colorful part of Bendigo's Easter Parade. There are also fabulous textiles, metal ware, jade and wooden artifacts and much more to discover and learn about. As the hub of Chinese cultural activity in Australia, visitors experience fascinating Chinese arts and customs. Visit our website for further information and news about upcoming special events.
