On July 4, 2016, the Wheeler Riverfront Plaza opened to the public. The plaza features the former Santa Monica Ferris wheel, which was purchased the development on eBay in 2008. Wheeler strives to curate a quality place-based experience for everyone—whether locals or tourists, neighbors or visitors, young or old.The Riverfront Plaza also features OKC’s most “selfied” spot—Hugh Meade’s “O-K-C” sculpture. Guests can enjoy the 100-foot tall Ferris wheel relocated from Santa Monica Pier, hammocks, picnics and more at the Wheeler District.
