Venue description

The Abkhazi Garden is an exquisite heritage home and garden created by the Georgian Prince and Princess Abkhazi in 1946. In 2000, The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC), a charitable land trust, saved the garden from becoming a housing development. The garden embraces rocky landscapes unique to Victoria, and features Garry oak trees, flowing carpets of naturalized bulbs, stunning Japanese maples and 100+ year old rhododendrons. Entry is by donation ($10/person suggested). Visit our website for more info on garden events, private tours, plant sales, and volunteer opportunities. The Teahouse at Abkhazi Garden operates inside the heritage home and serves light lunch & afternoon tea. Please note, Teahouse hours may differ from garden hours.
