Venue description

La Poutine opened it's doors in May 2011 inside the historic Garneau Theatre Building. The concept was built out of love...love for poutine, love for Canada and a love for serving the community. On our team you will find passionate individuals who'll guide you through the menu and help you build the poutine of your dreams. What is Poutine, you ask? Poutine is a dish created in Quebec in the 1950's consisting of fries, cheese curds and piping hot gravy. The word "poutine" is rumoured to mean "hot mess" in old french slang. At La Poutine, we aim to elevate the traditional 1950's poutine by using fresh, homemade and local ingredients. Each poutine is crafted with love and each component has been carefully sourced!
