The problem

A list can’t say where it’s lively

Ratings and reviews don’t change by the hour, so users still guess where to go tonight.

Empty rooms and long lines

Users walk into a quiet bar, or queue for forty minutes, and blame your app.

Crowd data is out of reach

Collecting it yourself takes sensors, partners or years of work that a small team doesn’t have.

How BestTime helps

Hourly foot traffic forecasts for public venues, from anonymized mobile device signals from a sample of visitors, combined with weather, events and holidays. Busyness is a percentage of each venue’s own busiest hour.

Venue Filter

GET /api/v1/venues/filter

Every venue in an area or collection, filtered by type, day, hours and busyness, each with its hourly curve. One call, sorted the way you need.

Weekly forecast

GET /api/v1/forecasts/week

Every hour of the week for one venue, as a percentage of its own busiest hour.

Peak and quiet hours

GET /api/v1/forecasts/peaks · /quiet

When each venue fills up, peaks and calms down, per day.

Predicted live data

POST /api/v1/forecasts/live

An estimate for the current hour, from real-world signals such as weather, events and holidays: busier or quieter than usual.

Itinerary Planner

POST /api/v1/itineraries/plan

Orders a list of venues into a route with a time for every stop: a night that builds up, or sights before their rush.

Questions

Is this the number of people in a bar?

No. Busyness is a percentage of each venue’s own busiest hour of the week, so 100% means as busy as that bar gets. It tells your users when a place is lively, not a head count.

How current is it?

The weekly forecast covers every hour. Predicted live data adds an estimate for the current hour, based on real-world signals such as weather, events and holidays.

How many credits does a feed use?

The Venue Filter uses credits per venue returned, and repeated calls with the same rounded coordinates are served from the cache. Keep the limit as low as your screen needs.

Video transcript

It's Friday night in New York City. Your users open the app with one question: where's it lively right now?

A list of bars can't answer that. Ratings don't change by the hour, and nobody wants an empty room, or a forty-minute line. Collecting crowd data yourself is out of reach for most teams.

BestTime forecasts foot traffic for every hour of the week, for bars, clubs and restaurants in your city. Predicted live data adds an estimate for the current hour, based on real-world signals like weather, events and holidays.

One Venue Filter call builds your feed: bars within a radius, on Friday from nine PM, that are close to their busiest hours. Each venue comes back with its hourly curve.

In your app, that's a feed of places that are filling up, a best time to go on every venue page, and a heads-up before a bar reaches its peak.

The Itinerary Planner turns the same data into a bar crawl that builds through the night, with a time for every stop.

Teams use this for nightlife guides, bar-hopping and dating apps, event platforms and concierge tools.

Your users stop guessing, and you skip building a data pipeline. Start free with an API key, and try the same search in Radar.
