Nasce nel 1875 a Nuoro, nella via principale, nel Corso Garibaldi, antica via Majore, per volontà di un artigiano del legno, piemontese (Tettamanzi), venuto a Nuoro per decorare la Cattedrale Santa Maria delle Neve di Nuoro. Il Bar è il luogo storico e della memoria Nuorese. Tutti sono passati al Caffè Tettamanzi 1875 perché oltre che essere punto focale, caffetteria e bar, è da sempre un museo della vita.
