Bayfront Park is a 32-acre (13 ha) public, urban park in Downtown Miami, Florida on Biscayne Bay. The Chairman to the trust is Commissioner Joe Carollo. the park operates under the auspices of the City of Miami’s Bayfront Park Management Trust, and is the venue for a variety of special events and concerts.
Among the most visited beaches in the Florida State Parks, Cape Florida is home to the oldest standing structure in greater Miami the Cape Florida Lighthouse (est.1825). Boasts 1.2 miles (2 km) of sandy beach, the Boater's Grill Restaurant and Lighthouse Cafe. The Park offers bike rentals, fishing piers, wildlife, picnic areas, charcoal grills and nature trails. Only 15 minutes from downtown Miami but seemingly a world away. Entry fee required. No charge for parking.
