Once known as Rocket Slide Park, Oak Lawn's busy Memorial Park offers the community plenty of recreation opportunities. This large 9.1-acre park at 102nd St. & Major Ave. (adjacent to the Stony Creek Golf Course complex) has space for sports such as basketball, sand volleyball and tennis. Its large pond features a long dock for fishing enthusiasts; its extensive paved path is well-tread by walkers, joggers and bicyclists.

Located at the northwestern end of Oak Lawn, this 8.8-acre park was treated to a renovation in 2003 with help from a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The renovation included Oak Lawn’s first and only skate park for inline roller skaters, skateboarders, and BMX bike riders. The large playground is ADA compliant, includes a rubber safety surface, and a mini–Spray Pad.
