Venue description

Rai Rai Ken, opened in 2000, is one of the first ramen shops in New York City, inspired by the roadside ramen shop and masterful noodle-making in the film "Tampopo." We focus on Tokyo-style shitamachi ramen, with flavors that take you down the alleys and streets of old school downtown Tokyo. We strive to make ramen that you can eat everyday, complimented by umami-filled bites like katsu buns and takoyaki made in house. To survive 2020, Rai Rai Ken combined with neighborhood favorite Curry-Ya and Otafuku. Pork Katsu with Shoyu Ramen?! Comfort food galore! From 10PM on THU, FRI, & SAT only, the restaurant turns into a sake gastropub BANRAI (10:00PM~12:00AM). Check out @banrairai on Instagram for this week's specials and for reservations.
